New Classes being added to Fall Schedule!

Fall classes start September 2nd! Check out our new classes!

What’s JWT without a gymnastics class? We will be offering a real gymnastics program just for kids 5 to 8 years old! Kids will increase flexibility, muscle control, and they will gain the fundamentals tools to become a gymnast. The JWT Gymnastics Kids program is in accordance with USA Gymnastics Compulsory Level Preparation Skills for the following uneven bars, beam, high bar, parallel bars, floor, vault, and rings. This class will also be taught by our former USA gymnast member, Amber!

Sporty Kids:
Finally, a class that’s all about sports! We learn a new sport every week! The tumble trainers teacher us all the fundamentals skills and we even get to do the same conditioning drills the pro athletes do!! Strength and aeobic conditioning are part of each class. Now when I play sports at school or pay a new organized sport, I feel so good about my skills and my knowledge of the game.

Call us at the gym to sign up 623-0400!

Training our staff

Do you know what sets JW Tumbles apart from the rest of the competition?  We take so much time and care into the training of our staff.  Even the owners of any JW Tumbles has to go through thorough, extensive training!  It is awesome.  I am in San Diego for training with my full time staff, Amberlynn and Meredith for two weeks in the gym every day working with kids and learning the programs.  It is awesome.  We just can’t wait to get back to Manchester to begin our journey with JW Tumbles!

Wondering what a Wiggler is?

Our Wigglers class is for kids ages 19 months to 2.5 years! This class is so much fun. Some of the favorite activities are the hanging log forest, the rings, and the magic carpet ride! Every week, they do something different and learn a new skill. Mom or Dad (or any adult) still participates in the class but the children are learning to listen to the teachers and follow direction independently.

WELCOME MEREDITH!!!

meredith.jpgMeredith Plimpton just joined us at JW Tumbles as our Assistant Director! We are so excited to have her! She is coming back to her home state of New Hampshire from San Diego.  Meredith serves as an example as to what sets JW Tumbles apart from any other children’s gym.  She graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation Management & Policy, has experience as a Recreational Therapist and most recently worked with the YMCA developing programs for an inclusive after school program and supervising the staff that implemented the program.  We are so lucky to have Meredith join us!

Get your kids interested in being healthy!

I found this article and thought it was so interesting!  With all the technology available to our kids now, it is no wonder that weight and health is a big concern.  Even since I was a kid (which wasn’t that long ago!) things have changed so much!  I was always outside playing and running!  Anyway, one of the benefits of owning a JW Tumbles is that we get to make physical fitness FUN for kids, not a chore.  And, it is a heck of a lot cheaper than paying for a 1:1 personal trainer for our kids!  Check out this article.  http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19403443/

Funny how life changes when you have kids. For the better, but I have become such a different person! I know my husband Michael feels the same. We both were in politics in Washington, D.C. before Liam came into our lives. I envisioned a long career filled with travel and campaigning. Now, I am opening up J.W. Tumbles in Manchester, NH and I couldn't be more excited about this chapter in our lives! After being pregnant with Liam during 9/11 we wanted to move somewhere where family traditions seemed important. We wanted to live somewhere where our children would feel safe and where "everyone knew everyone." We wanted to live somewhere people looked out for their neighbors. Well, we found it!

New Hampshire is a great place to live - especially with young kids. Our situation may be a bit different in that our first son Liam was born with Down syndrome. But, the similarity I share with all of you is that I am a mom, and I am always looking for opportunities for my children to have fun and to learn.

Over the past few years, I have dedicated my life to charities that are close to my heart, like the National Down Syndrome's Annual Buddy Walk. I have learned so much and had so much fun! One thing I have learned about myself is how much I love helping children! The reason I am so very excited about opening JW Tumbles is that it will be new to New Hampshire! I am proud of this company and it stands for everything I do ...helping children grow emotionally and physically - building self awareness and self confidence and having loads of fun at the same time.

New Hampshire needs a place like JW Tumbles and my hope is that you all find a new home with us there! I hope you enjoy reading my blog and please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or comments. Let's start a conversation that will ultimately help all families.
